So, mid tests and pensi took my whole time lately. And I just got my free time back.
My laptop has walked slowly since.. I dunno. Then I think to re-install the Win7 ;) Because of that, Now Im downloading many softwares that I dont have before and I think I have more interest in graphics softwares, esp. Adobe muehehe. Actually I've using Adobe Photoshop since 3 years ago. But I never look for other softwares from Adobe. Nah, on these days, Im curious with the others. Just like Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing, Audition for audio editing, Photoshop and Illustrator for pixel and vector, Flash Professional for animation, Fireworks and Dreamweaver for web design, and InDesign for Layouts.
Actually Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and InDesign have no much different, for beginner graphic designer like me LOL. But, I do some research hahaha and found the main purpose of each program.
So, Photoshop is usually used for photo editing, because it's a pixel based. Such as professional photographers, that have very complex color in their amazing photos, the usually use Photoshop to process their works. Many digital painter that use soft shading coloring, which means it has many color gradations, usually use Photoshop too.
Illustrator is a vector based program. It's usually used in making 'a bit color needed' projects. Such as logo, simple illustration, and etc. The different between pixel and vector is when you need to enlarge your works. If you have pixel based work, then you enlarge it in very big difference, you'll get broken pixel there. But, if it's vector based, no matter you enlarge it as big as this world lol you'll just found your previous works, only with different size. Nah, that's the different between pixel and vector, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Next, Fireworks is a graphic editing program too, just like Photoshop and Illustrator. Before it was bought by Adobe, it belonged to Macromedia. The first time Fireworks joined Creative Suite package from Adobe is in CS2. Fireworks is prefer to the graphic of web design. It has many easy tools for supporting web design. But many people use Photoshop or Illustrator too. The mate of Fireworks is Dreamweaver. Fireworks is used to make the design, then Dreamweaver is used to make the code.
The last, InDesign. InDesign is a graphic editing program too, but it focus in layout. InDesign will help a layout designer in making their projects.
Actually, there are many other softwares too, like Catalyst, Encore, OnLocation, Flash Builder, Lightroom, Prelude, etc. But I havent browse it yet. So, I post it now teheee.
